ACE Europe advises in the identification and formulation of projects and programmes that take into account the requirements of result-based management. ACE Europe has experience in the application of various specific techniques and methods like designing logical frameworks, Project Cycle Management (PCM), Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), SWOT analyses, etc. ACE Europe is familiar with the management of the aid and the administrative rules of various donors like the European Commission (European Development Fund or EDF, TACIS programmes, social inclusion programmes), the Dutch government, the Belgian government (Directorate-general for Development Cooperation and the financing of NGOs, development education, and local government international cooperation), Belgian Technical Cooperation BTC, the Flemish government etc.
Notable examples:
- Support to the formulation of the three-year programme North commissioned by the Belgian NGO TRIAS
- Formulation of a five-year programme for development education in Belgium (the programmes 'Kleur Bekennen' and 'Annoncer la Couleur') commissioned by the Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC)
- Identification and formulation of a TACIS Programme in Ukraine directed at strengthening civil society in providing more effective social services
- Formulation of the programme for the decentralisation in Rwanda based on a mid-term evaluation, commissioned by the Rwandese Ministry for Local Governments (MINALOC).
